About China Transit Guide

Who runs this site

Hi, I'm Xin. I'm a parent living in Beijing, and I build small, practical web tools in my spare time. I'm not an immigration lawyer, travel agent or government official, and this site isn't an official source. It's a resident's attempt to put the official rules in one place, in plain English, with links back to where they come from.

Why it exists

China's visa-free options for foreign visitors have expanded quickly: the 240-hour transit policy, 30-day visa-free entry for many countries, and new ways to pay with foreign cards. The official information exists, but it's spread across announcements, policy interpretations and FAQs, and it changes often. Friends and visitors kept asking the same questions: Do I qualify? Which cities can I visit? How do I pay? How do I book a train?

China Transit Guide offers a simple eligibility checker and short guides that answer those questions. Each one links to the official page it's based on and shows when we last checked it.

How we use AI

Please check official sources before travel

Immigration rules can change at short notice, and only border officers can decide whether you're admitted. Before you travel, check the National Immigration Administration (hotline +86-12367), your nearest Chinese embassy or consulate, and your airline.

Independence

We're not affiliated with any government agency, airline, payment company or travel agency. Company names are used only to describe services factually. If we use ads or affiliate links in future, they'll be disclosed in our privacy policy and won't affect what we write.
